Who We Are
With over 700 members, the LA Section of the Society of Women Engineers is one of the largest of the Society’s 400-plus sections. |
The Society of Women Engineers is a non-profit, educational, service organization dedicated to supporting women engineers and encouraging young women to consider an engineering education. Geographically, section membership is spread Calabassas to Long Beach; from Pomona and La Canada to the Pacific Ocean. Our membership is most densely located in the South Bay, the Verdugos, San Gabriel Valley, and San Fernando Valley.
Our mission is to stimulate women to achieve full potential in careers as engineers and leaders, expand the image of the engineering profession as a positive force in improving the quality of life, and demonstrate the value of diversity. |
