SWE Los Angeles Virtual Professional Development Conference 2021
SWE Los Angeles Virtual Professional Development Conference 2021

The Society of Women Engineers - Los Angeles Chapter will be hosting our annual Professional Development Conference (PDC) on April 16th, 2021. Due to the dynamic nature of COVID-19 considerations and restrictions, we will be hosting this event virtually but with a mirrored agenda to our typical Professional Development Conference. Registration fees will cover an all-day, all access pass to a keynote address, 6 lightning talks, breakout/networking sessions, a swag bag filled with gear from SWE-LA and our sponsors, and even a background competition with prizes! All proceeds from this event will go to the SWE - Los Angeles Scholarship Program. We appreciate your
support and patience through this unprecedented time!
We are extremely pleased to have Sonita Lontoh, Global Head of Marketing at HP Inc., as our outstanding keynote speaker:
Sonita Lontoh is the division CMO for HP’s Personalization, 3D Printing & Digital Manufacturing business. Sonita has almost two decades of experience focusing on how new emerging technology such as Industrial IoT and Additive are enabling digital transformation. Her experience spans both venture-backed Silicon Valley start-ups and global Fortune 100 technology and industrial companies.
Outside of work, Sonita is passionate about advancing more women in technology and in increasing global technology cross-collaborations between the U.S. and emerging countries. She has been invited by the White House to speak at former President Barack Obama’s Global Innovation Summit and to attend an event honoring AAPI Women Champions of Change. Sonita was also recognized by former U.S. of State Hillary Clinton for her work for TechWomen and was invited by former U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry for a roundtable discussing energy digital transformation. In 2017, Sonita was inducted into the U.S. National Asian American Hall of Fame and MIT listed her as one of its Notable Women Alumni.
Sonita earned her Master of Engineering degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), her M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, and her B.S. in Industrial Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
